Since its reopening, Shawenjeagamik (aka 510 Rideau) has been helping Ottawa's Indigenous homeless find their sense of community - being able to speak their language with others, while staying warm and taking in a much needed meal.
On Saturday, April 16th there will be a local fundraiser for the centre featuring many talented, up-and-coming musicians in the community. The evening will kick off with an "indian taco" dinner and a screening of Noongom - a new reality TV show, documenting who Indigenous people are today!
