When I was just a young one, my parents took my brother and I out on the Pow Wow trail where they'd sell their handmade goods and we'd all share in an experience like no other. Some of the best memories of my childhood were from these road trips, traveling from place to place across Canada and the United States.
In 1994, my parents opened up their very own Native arts and crafts store in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada - They named it Beaded Dreams. Over the years they've gained loyal customers while making new ones all the time, and in 2007, they passed Beaded Dreams down to me and I've been taking care of this baby ever since.
In 2015, we hit a milestone in that we added an online store where we've been shipping out beautiful First Nations items around the world, parcel by parcel. Our mission is to support indigenous artists and to keep this beautiful culture alive.
We also donate/sponsor to many local charity and silent auctions including the Annual Aboriginal Day Parade, Minwaashin Lodge, Odawa Friendship Centre to name a few. As well, we run in-store artist spotlight events in which we fund all advertising/food/drink costs and the artist keeps 100% of their sales.
If you are in Ottawa, come on down and visit our shop. We are now open 7 days a week and our hours can be found on our contact page. We sell a range of items including jewelry, moccasins and mitts, dreamcatchers, Native art, handmade candles and soaps, smudge medicines (ie. sage), books, stones and crystals, craft supplies and much more.
We really appreciate your business and support. Meegwetch - Thank you,
